Candida Scott, MFH and Huntsman with hounds

Independence Fox Hounds (IFH) is an established group of enthusiasts in Texas who foxhunt throughout autumn, winter and into early spring. IFH is registered with the Master Foxhounds Association of America and follow all their guidelines and practices for hunting.

The hunt has three Masters, John Dorrier who spends 50% of his time in London with his company, Candida Scott who is British, but has now been in Houston for 12 years and Russell Gaines.

We hunt fox, coyote (which provide really fast and exciting hunts) and occasionally bobcat but we try to avoid hogs. So there is abundant game for foxhunting.
